Responsible for strategic supplier sourcing, material price and market trend analysis; development of cost reduction, cost avoidance, working capital management and supply chain process innovation; and managing the negotiated preferred supplier relationships and material categories.
Bachelor's degree in Business - Logistics, Operations, Management Science, Engineering or related field.
Minimum seven (7) years purchasing and procurement strategy experience in a high volume, multi-plant plastics manufacturing environment. Specifically, purchasing resin.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and presentation acuity. Ability to self-direct, as well as, lead or participate on project teams.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative).
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong analytical ability to disseminate data, apply logic and propose fact-based and intuitive solutions.
